Day 26

Item from your wishlist Day- As dumb as it sounds, I've always wanted one of those giant teddy bears. Ever since I was a little kid, I think I saw one in a magazine or something, but I've always wanted one. But now though, my brother is going to be getting married in just a couple of months, and I'm soon expecting them to start having children. And when my oldest oldest sister got married, I made a vow to my other sister that if married sister had kids, I would be the best aunt in the world and spoil them like no other. My sister got a divorce (for good reasons), but my vow to be the best aunt ever has now moved on to be fulfilled with the help of my brother. Now, since he's enlisted me to be a full time babysitter because he would have a serious meltdown if he saw a soiled diaper, I'm more than likely going to rub off on those poor kid's lifestyles. There's no way of escaping it. These kids will love, grow to love, or be forced (joking) to love legos, zelda, camping, cooking, traveling, building forts out of the couch cushions and demolishing the living room with silly string, water balloon fights, doing flips into a pool, living off of PB&J for the whole entire summer, love sports, and will have to above all know and learn that it is ok to mess up. Yes, expectations for them are high, but all of us are human at best, and it's inevitable that we will mess up. I don't want them to be one of those crazed people who will cry and beat themselves down if they don't get a 100% on a paper or doesn't get a home run in t-ball. I want them to not only live their life, but to enjoy it as much as they can. And that's what I'm here for, to teach them just that...
