cool story bro!

You know those moments, sometimes pretty often, when you're trying to tell a funny story or any story at all and it just turns into a bunch of useless ramblings? Theres always that awkward moment afterword when theres a long silence, shifty eyes... in a movie they'd play crickets chirping. And you try to make yourself appear not dumb and so you you end up saying, "oh! uhm... it's just one of those things where you had to be there. Trust me though, it was HIL-ar-ioussss!!" which then turns into another awkward silence and somebody with some sense decides to steer the conversation away by saying, "So... your cats looking very soft and shiny today? New diet?" and the pet's owner nevously takes a sip of his drink and replies with some one-word answer which then results in another awkward silence. After a few seconds of awkwardness, everybody yells out in sync, "I have to go to the restroom!" as an excuse to get away from this terrible conversation and takes off walking in different directions. Yes, we've all experienced one of those moments. The phrase, "cool story bro!" is pretty acceptable in this situation if you want to make the whole experience just a little bit more awkward. After the main person tells their un-funny story, shout out "cool story bro!" and give them a pat on the back, take a sip of your drink, and then just walk off. This provides you with a clear outlet of escape instead of having to endure any more of the awkwardness. Trust me, it works. Uhm.. it's just one of those things where you had to be there....
