the story of the gauze wrap. Sort of..

It was a good thing that I banged my leg up when I did because that was our last day of camping out there. The next day was going to be dedicated to exploring Denver and getting to play tourist. I searched on the GPS for a Goodwill someplace nearby and we took off for it. After about a 40 minute curvy drive down a mountain to get to this place and getting lost, we were sorely disappointed because this store had absolutely nothing in it and was tiny. But, we had seen a beautiful lake on the way there and drove back to it to get some pictures. My leg was hurting awfully bad (I probably shouldn't have worn skinny jeans over top of my leg and the bandage), so we didn't stay there for awhile. I was driving down the mains street to head back to Denver when I smelled something that smelled like burnt oil. I looked out over top of my hood and of course, it was my car and there would be occasional puffs of smoke that would come out. Freaking out, I told dad about it and we pulled into the nearest place so we could pop the hood. Oil was indeed leaking and dripping onto the exhaust pipe. We had to pull into a Jiffy Lube to use the lift to be able to look at the car and figure out what the problem was. Dad went down into the pit with the mechanic since he's excellent with cars and rebuilt mine so he knows everything on it. We had to go to an Auto Zone to get a new head gasket and a few tools and worked on it. It was an easy fix and done in like 5 minutes. During that time though, I was putting an air freshener thing in my car vent to get rid of the burnt oil smell when a huge spider crawled across the side mirror and onto the dash. I screamed and hoped out of the car and hit it on the car door making it bleed again while the spider just crawled inside of my vent. We had got back onto the highway when the stupid spider crawled out of the vent and landed on my leg! In a very nervous and scared voice i was like "Dad,theresaspideronmyleg!Getitoff, getitoff, getitoff!!!!" Dad reached over and smacked my leg ,of course on my bum leg, causing it to bleed yet again. But, at least the spider was squished. I decided it was about time that I go ahead and change into shorts because my leg was hurting incredibly bad and now there was squished spider guts on my leg. So, we started on our search for a gas station...
