Merde.
So.. my attempt to wean off the shopping addiction isn't going so well right now. I did pretty good for while there where I saved majority of paycheck or used it towards gas or gave some to church or bought groceries.. But besides all of that, I was really good at saving. And a few days ago I even got whammed with this huge guilt wave of having such an abundance of clothes and shoes and handbags and stuff and just felt poopy about it. That is until I stopped by at the mall so I could go to the jewelers to get my ring fixed. One of the stores was having a Everything-Must-Go sale so they could get ready for the new season and I kind of bought something. Well, it was a lot of somethings. But I couldn't help it! Huge chunky knit sweaters were being sold for $6 a piece and with Kentucky weather being all over the place, we're in the middle of a cold spell and it seems like I'm always in a constant need of thicker sweaters. Anyways, sweaters were like $6 a piece and so I got like 3 of those, you could get a handful of panties for like $6 too so I got some of those along with a few new other undergarments. Let's see, what else? Tank tops! They had the cuuuutest tank tops with lace around it for $4 a piece and I got like 4 of those and a beautiful flowy white blouse, an army green pea coat for $12, and pair of mid-calf boots in a dark taupe color that have sherpa-type looking material on the inside and they are sooo comfy. They look like grunge boots, but I love them. And I got another pair of mid-calf boots that are plain black leather but completely covered in studs. They make me feel like a bad ass haha. I think that was about it and it all was less than $70 total which I think is pretty darn good. But now I'm running out of room for everything and I'm trying to get rid of stuff to make room, but I wear it all. And I'm just stuck in this weird love-hate cycle thing and just ugh... Stupid problems of a 19 year old. I hate being an adult.

new perspective
I don't know what has come over me lately, but I've just been filled with an overwhelming feeling of modesty and a bit of disgust. Boyfriend's life growing up hasn't been easy at all and after hearing all of his stories... I thought that I went through a few tough times, but after hearing his stories, it starts to put it all into a new perspective. I love clothes and fashion and designers and thinking outside of the box.. the list goes on and on. But now I feel guilty for having so much excess. I've gone through my closet a few times to clear out the things that I don't often wear and filled up a lot of bags to give to Goodwill and now I'm starting a new trek. After wearing an item of clothing (excluding pants/coats/undergarments) I of course wash it, but then I fold it up and put it in a bag. My goal is to wear everything in my closet at least once so I can get a better view on what items I really do need to get rid of. I know that I have a lot of clothes that I want to keep because they look so beautiful or because maybe one day that event will come when I'll need it.. We all know how that goes. Any who I guess the point is for right now that I'm a bit depressed from shopping. This of course coming a few hours after I already spent some money at Rue21 :(

Lush lust list
As usual, school and work have taken over my life again! The only difference between now and a couple years ago though is that I absolutely adore school. I love it! And what better place to look cute than at school? That was a total joke, I'm the jeans and t-shirt girl there and never will you ever see me in heels there because my school days are loooong. There are a few things that I have my eye on though and a couple things at work too, so we'll see what happens. And I'm still waiting for my first designer handbag to come as well! Hopefully it will be here in a couple weeks at the most, it feels like it has been freaking forever! Oh wait, it has been. Stupid shipping...

Super odd assortment of shoes, but I really really like all of them.

Eyes. Lips. Face.
I usually don't have that much time to fix my face up all pretty, I usually just do my basic routine. I featured that in a post awhile back, but every now and then it is nice to dress up for a night out. One of my sisters got a huge pallet from TJ Maxx awhile ago that was ELF brand. I've heard of this brand a few times, but have only ever used some bronzer from the line because it was so inexpensive. This pallet is making me change my mind though.
I know that the desk is super messy and dirty, but I've had the lovely privilege to catch a cold and sore throat. Anyways, this thing is awesome because there are 3 layers to it! The first one has an array of eyeshadows.. I've already tried out like all of them haha. The second is a mixture of lipies and some blush and the third layer is complete with bronzer and some foundation/ cover up stuff. I've found out that some of it works wonderfully to create a nude lip effect too. I'll totally have to do some posts on different make up looks before too long.

On my way
My need for a new camera has become overwhelming. I either have to scavenge pictures off of the internet now or use my mum's sparingly. I mentioned in an earlier post that I really like Sony brand and after lots of research and looked at the prices of everything, I've decided on the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W560 camera.
It comes in silver, black, blue, and red I think and while we all know that I love anything blue, this red one stands out so much more than the others. Amazon brags that it has HD movie mode, panorama mode, 14.1 megapixels, 3 inch LED screen, SteadyShot to reduce bluriness, face detection and smile shutter technology, and 4.5 out of 5 stars. For a basic camera, I think that $75 isn't a bad deal. I'll be getting a used version of this camera, but the description is like new. That's one of the great things about Amazon... I don't mind getting some second hand stuff as long as it works haha hopefully this little baby will be arriving in the mail in a couple of weeks or so.

Money Monster
This is the money monster. He has recently taken a hold of me. I pay college tuition. I buy college books. I buy a designer purse. I buy groceries, gas, pay bills... the list goes on and on. And yet some part of this little demon wants me to give in and get more. And sometimes I give in. I'm still trying to hold onto some of my dignity though and have safely tucked away a good percentage of most of my income into my savings account where I never let myself make a withdraw unless it is for something
dealing with college. So until then, I must just drool over some pictures to satisfy myself...

Ok, so no matter what on earth happens, even if I magically grow boobs (which I have been praying for for the past 6 years of my life) and if the Money Monster dies leaving me at free will with my money causing me to become incredibly rich, there is no way on God's green earth that I'll have Joe Magliano. But hey, a girl has got to dream
dealing with college. So until then, I must just drool over some pictures to satisfy myself...

You'll shoot your eye out!
So... I did it. I chose a purse finally from the large selection of them in one of the previous posts. Question is, if the picture online does the handbag justice or not, or if the actual handbag really looks like a big 'ol piece of poop. I'm kind of nervous. But no matter what, I will be guaranteed to have an amazing time ripping open the shipping box and throwing tissue paper wildly into the air. Only to unwrap and discover my worst fear that the picture was a lie and I got ripped off... Did I mention I'm kind of nervous? Ohh... it's making me feel weird just thinking about it! I'lll give you a hint on what I picked though. It's a handbag. It's leather. And the picture makes it look doggone beautiful...
Ha! Steals!
Ok, I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into work a few days ago and saw what I thought was a Valentino bag. Now we're a department store and rarely get in items like Michael Kors or Ralph Lauren and so finding a Valentino? Totally 1 in a million. After another glance, I realized it was just Valentino inspired. I had to have it none the less though.
Valentino Rockstud handbag for $2,195 USD
NYC Expressions handbag for $34.99 USD
I know after looking at the actual Valentino bag that this looks kinda, sorta, not really the same... but the inspiration is there no doubt! I was just happy about getting a deal haha

How am I to decide?
I'm in need of a new purse. Well, I don't really need it, but I'm sick of buying purses that are kind of cheaply made I suppose. They just don't look sophisticated or anything. I guess I'm just developing my champagne taste... I'm ready for designer! I already have a small list of things and sadly that list branched out to include a few pairs of shoes as well. I can't decide between any of these, and staring at each one individually for awhile hasn't helped any either. Hmm...
First, there's this YSL beauty. It's basic black too so it goes with everything. The symbol is iconic and not very many people choose this brand so that makes it even more appealing to me. I might as well get some of their pumps while I'm at it too...
Next is the Louis Vuitton nerverfull bag. Just the name sums it up for me. I'm always in need of a handbag with tons of room in it for random things and school work and accessories. Everyone needs a LV bag sometime or another as well. I can't decide between this brown or the white/azur version. I'm not very much of a brown person, but white will get dirty so easily as well. I know for sure that I like the block monogram version rather than the usual brand logo splashed all over the handbag. I've always been fond of the neon graffiti line of handbags they had though.
This is the one I'm having a tough time deciding on. I can't tell if I want this Michael Kors cobalt version of the Hamilton tote or the classic lambskin Chanel bag. I absolutely adore this color and hold the Michael Kors brand in a special place in my heart. I know it's not much, but I already have leather riding gloves and a dress by him, and I would love to expand my collection. The size is perfect too, and the shape is just classic. The color can be used all year around as well. Ugh I want it so bad..
But then I see this one and I can't decide! I've been lusting after this bag for ages and it's so iconic and beautiful and perfect.. But I already have so many black purses and this is so expensive that if I buy one, I know I won't buy another until this falls apart and I can't decide on a color haha The problems of an idiot 20 year old..
There's also this one that I love so much too. I would prefer it to be lambskin material rather than patent though. But I like the size of this handbag and it's Chanel! What more should I say?
Another Michael Kors. I was drawn to this particular on e though because of the material and the color. I love neutral colors and wear them all the time, but I have yet to own a grey colored handbag. And what's more, it's ostrich material too so it looks totally different than anything I've ever came close to even owning haha. I really really like it, but the cobalt Michael Kors and the 2.55 black Chanel are still my top favs.
And lastly for the purses, I had to consider the Celine handbag. This one is just a classic just like all the rest and this one has been popping up all over the place and I can't help the feeling of wanting every time that I see it. I would probably end up and get a black one of course, but I love the orange version too. I've been trying to force some color upon myself and have oddly enough found out that I'm very fond of orange. They have a kelly green colored version of this handbag as well, but it's smaller and more of a cross-body type one. I do love the color though. And the black and beige version is catching my eye as well..
Enough with the handbags though, onto the shoes!

I've recently found out about the Italian brand of luxurious shoes, Giuseppe Zanotti. I'm not for sure if it's a well known brand, but after seeing Sarah Jessica Parker styling a pair, I thought it was worth looking into. These two pairs of shoes look pretty basic, but I love them. They're basic with a twist. I love me a shoe with an ankle strap and I'm only 5'4 on my tippy toes, so anything that will make me taller is all the better. Wedges are my favorite though because I feel like it gives so much more support. The second pair just looks really interesting to me. I like the color blocking and the intricate crossing on the front too. I just keep finding myself going back to these shoes, I quite like them.

These are a classic. Christian Louboutin. Just saying the name and a girlish giggle escapes from my lips. Owning a pair of these would be the perfect first little baby step into the designer world. Only it wouldn't be a baby step with these babies, it would be a confident strut.
And last, Jimmy Choo. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the first brand of high fashion that I had ever heard about. Yes, before Dolce and Gabbana and Prada and Hermes.. this is the one that stuck. I think this is where my taste for the finer things originated. Every single pair of Jimmy Choos that I look at, they look so elegant and I feel like I need to be dressed up as Cinderella to go to a ball with these accompanying me. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about these shoes.
After all this and after all the analysis, I still can't decide. Which one do you think I should pick? Or which two haha.

Shiny.. nice!
So my camera is broke and I won't have a new one until a week or so from now hopefully. I used to have a Sony cybershot, an older version, but still a very faithful model. I decided to get the same model, but just a few years newer. I always like trying out new things, but I have a nasty habit of once I find something I like, I stick with it. Whether it is Italian food, the camera model, or the perfect cut of a blouse, I stick with it. I noticed this not to long ago and decided that that needed to change. On a whim, I bought a box of hair color and dyed it last night. I was going to post pictures, but I guess I'll have to later on. My hair is naturally a medium or a light brown and even though I've dyed it about every color (besides like green and blue and stuff like that) I went all the way to the end of the spectrum and picked out a blue-black color. Right now it does look kind of blue haha but it's already starting to fade a bit into a jet black color. I love it! I'll have to post pics soon. xoxo!
