slightly man-ish... part 2

So after we had that discussion, (it went on for awhile), I decided that I was going to do everything in my power to prove that I'm a girl. Besides my obvious.. lady parts, I thought that the most obvious way to show that I'm a girl would be to wear a dress. And pink. Worst. Decision. Ever. I never paint my nails, but I do my toenails because i think feet are gross and ugly so fingernail polish is there to make them halfway acceptable. Anyways, I usually keep mine painted a really dark brown that looks blacks. I lightend them up to a coral color. And I wore a dress for a whole week straight. It was terrible. I always had to sit with my legs crossed and couldn't prop my legs up on the seat in front of me, or bend over or anything. It was terrible. And what's even worse, the day after me and Boyfriend had discussion about it, hsi cousin picked me up and we went to his house. We were hanging out in his room and his little sister, who thankfully likes me, heard me freaking out about how I'm mannish and she looked me straight in the eyes and said with a little smile on her face, "You're a man!" It was the greatest and most heartbreaking thing ever. She's only 4 so she said it so innocently, but so hurtfully too. She just heard me saying it so she said it too, she didn't actually mean it. Anyways, it was terrible though because I had redoubled my efforts to look like a girl that day. I was wearing a dress that was like light pink with a chambray button down over top of it, had toenails pink, wore makeup, and hair naturally curly, but actually spent time on it so it looked halfway decent. But, I've given up on the girlyness. I'm going back to jeans, sweatpants, and t-shirts. If I'm a tomboy, then all well. At least I never got called a man when I dressed tomboy =/
